It was 20 years ago, in 2005, that I became a fully qualified massage therapist. I had just passed my Swedish Massage and Anatomy & Physiology at Exeter Natural Health Centre, having trained in Thai Yoga Massage with Nicky Smith of the Bodywisdom school.
You could say I found my calling. I knew whilst I was training that I had found "my thing" - my passion if you like.
It still fills me with the same kind of intrigue and satisfaction I felt all those years ago as I set up my business and began to treat people as a professional massage therapist and bodyworker. I am still fascinated with how the body works, how we move our bodies and the sensations that we, as individuals, experience. Everybody has a story to tell when they come for a massage and that is endlessly interesting.
So that is what I bring to every massage - years of experience, knowledge and fascination, tailored to the individual for the best possible treatment.
